Hot Orator Action

For anyone who is going to be giving a speech in the near future, and likes to sprinkle their oration with quotes from famous people, head on over to Wikiquote, Wikipedia’s sister site devoted to, well, quotes from famous people.

There are also proverbs, stuff from literary works, and even films!  I personally hate it when someone says, “As Winston Churchill once said…” because it usually indicates a lack of originality and need to fill time.  Of course, I’m also usually standing at the position of attention under a tropical sun when speeches are being made, so I may be prejudiced in this regard.  As Robert Heinlein once said in Time Enough for Love: “A ‘critic’ is a man who creates nothing and thereby feels qualified to judge the work of creative men.”
