I’m in Kuwait and the change is breathtaking. This is a real country, with highways, and lights, and people who know how to read and everything. It looks like Vegas without the casinoes and whores.

I am actually paying to be on the computer right now, so I will write more when I get my own computer in my new office.

UPDATE: OK, I have my own computer and decided that I want a summer home in Kuwait. Well, maybe it isn’t that great, but compared to Afghanistan where the temperature is hovering around bittah and the air is thinner than Ally McBeal before breakfast, it is nigh the Garden of Eden (actually, it was part of the greater Mesopotamian area…)

There is a monstrous PX that is better than some small posts I’ve seen in the US. There is a Pizza Hut, donut shop, Subway, Burger King, and Baskin Robbins. The showers don’t make you smell like bleach. This doesn’t sound exciting to anyone but me, huh?
