Here’s hoping it is as good as "The Job" was. – Foxlife – FX Picks Up Leary’s New Drama: NEW YORK — FX has placed a series order for comedian Denis Leary’s "Rescue Me," signing up for 13 episodes of the one-hour drama, the network announced.

"Rescue Me" is about the lives of a group of New York City firefighters. Leary stars as a firefighter who’s coping with the fear of his job in the aftermath of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.

The announcement was made last week by Nick Grad, vice president of series development for FX. Production of "Rescue Me" is scheduled to begin in April and will be shot in New York.

LOS ANGELES  — Two major movie studios sued an actor and longtime member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences who allegedly leaked "screener" copies of movies that were then reproduced and distributed on the Internet.

Columbia Pictures Industries and Warner Bros. filed the lawsuits against Carmine Caridi, a 20-year Academy member who has appeared in "The Godfather: Part II" and "NYPD Blue."

Carmine Caridi played Vince Gotelli on Fatass.
