I have long since been surpassed as the geekiest Corcoran by Kinshay. Not many remember who published the first Corcoran Brothers web page, but I’ll give you a hint: he had a tattoo of a harp but did not suffer from the heartbreak of psoriasis. That’s right, folks, I used to be the computer nerd of the family. I wrote programs in both Pascal and C. I was the voyager on the information superhighway, and I was the one who made the computer buying decisions. Obviously that is a thing of the past.

Seamus is now the reigning king of geekdom. Sure, I read more science fiction and watch more Stargate SG-1. Of course I know more about Chaos theory and Michio Kaku’s brilliant ideas. Fine, I did watch a 24-hour ‘Quantum Leap’ marathon straight by drinking Diet Coke and dipping Skoal (I have since moved on to Copenhagen), but it is Seamus who people now call for all their geek needs. When did this happen? It was some time before he took his first tech job and some time after I went on active duty, but I can’t pinpoint when.

Is there anything I can do to regain my lost glory? Obviously knowledge of arcane languages and prissiness with grammar do nothing for me. The coolness of owning a Harley and fixing Seamus’ knocks me down a couple geek pegs, too, but I won’t give up. Can anyone point to a date on the calendar and say, “Aha! There…that is when Seamus became the family nerd!”? Can anyone counsel me on how again to regain my rightful place as geekiest Corcoran?

  1. sean is still the girliest. hey, remember when he was the cool one?

  2. Sean was cool? When was that – the year he voted for Jessie Jackson?

  3. Kinsean, you moron. Anglo-Irish is what ALL people from Ireland are. Remember, the Angles were from way back in the day before there was an England.
