Mom is now elderly – how do you teach her?

So, I get in Mom’s Explorer to run down the street for a second. I notice the high-beam light is on. I shake my head. Again.

I have explained to my mother several times now that this means high beams. The blue light that looks like the headlights means high beams are on. The fact that light is being thrown from the front of the car means the regular lights are on. She does not get it. She believes the little blue light means her lights are on. Which technically they are – on High!

So, for all of you people in the Boston area who were/are temporarily blinded while driving past my mother at night, I am sorry, but I have tried my hardest.
