Per Kin-Shane’s Request

The “posted by” tag in the comments now is a mailto: ref. I was looking around for a while now to find how to make the link, without using the actual email address (as per Jako’s spambot proof function on blahstuff.) He kindly show’s the code, but I have no idea how to place it in the index page amongst the html.

Then I was wondering how the “comments” section encoded the emails, did a view source and blam – it has this function built in (to an extent):

span class=”comments-post” Posted by a href=”mailto&# 58;sean&# 64;celt-tech&# 46;com” kinyahbrutha at August 24, 2003 12:56 AM /span

Being the smart guy that I am, I replaced all the @’s .’s and :’s with the proper #’s, and wow it’s works.

div class=”posted” Posted by a href=”mailto&# 58; $MTEntryAuthor$ &# 64;kinshay&# 46;com?subject= $MTEntryTitle$ ”/a $MTEntryAuthor$ /a at a href=” $MTEntryPermalink$ ” $MTEntryDate format=”%X”$ /a

Note – Had to remove all of the tag markers and add extra spaces to show the code.
